Number of registered PLWHIV, number of registered AIDS cases: In the period 1985 - 2010 a total of 2593 HIV infected person had been officially registered and out of them 1537 developed AIDS while 996 died from AIDS. Moreover, 82 HIV infected persons died from other causes not related to HIV. At the end of 2010 the number of officially registered PLHIV was 1515.

Epidemiological information: infections according to way of transmission, age, gender: Cumulative distribution of HIV cases by gender is 3 male: 1 female.
Since 1985 till the end of 2010 we notified that 83% of all registered HIV positive people were aged 20-49. In the age group less than 15 a total of 70 HIV cases were registered till the end of 2010 while in the period 2000-2010 only 14 HIV infected children were registered.
Till the end of 2010 the majority of all registered HIV cases were reported sexual transmission of HIV (47%) while 36% of all HIV cases were notified among IDUs. In the period 2001-2010 the sexual transmission of HIV is predominant (around 70% of all newly diagnosed HIV positive people).
